Dispelling Resume Myth - References On Your Resume

Dispelling Resume Myth - References On Your ResumeI have to include References Available Upon Request on my resume, right?Actually, no you dont. That statement is really a given. These days, the employer assumes youll provide references upon requestand if they want them, they will request them. So do yourself a couple of favors1. Have your references ready. Use a reference sheet that is pretty standard and that you can give out to multiple employers as neededusually provided at the end of the initial interview. Include each persons name and phone number at the very least, and how youre connected.2. Prep your references. Make sure you not only request their permission to be a reference, but inform them of who may be contacting them and about the type of position youre applying to. That way, they can already be thinking about all the nice, wonderful, supportive things they want to say about you.My name is Jessica Hernandez, and Im the President/CEO of Great Resumes Fast.
